TotalAV Setup

How to Download and Install TotalAV

Need help downloading and installing TotalAV? Just follow the steps below for your selected device.

Note: This TotalAV version can only be installed on Windows 10 (21H2+) & Windows 11 (23H2+).

Downloads Folder

Open the Downloaded File within your browser downloads area or by going to your downloads folder in File Explorer.

User Account Control

Next, click Yes to allow TotalAV to make changes to your device.

Setup

When the TotalAV setup window opens, click Install.

Setup File Installation

Please wait for the setup files to be downloaded and be installed.

Ready to Scan

TotalAV is now fully installed. Click on Start Scan to begin your scanning your system.

If you wish to login before proceeding with the Scan, click on Log In to activate the TotalAV app.
If you are experiencing issues with either downloading or installing click here.

Enable Real-Time Protection

Real-Time Protection will activate after a few seconds of TotalAV being fully installed, or will require you to click Enable Real-Time Protection.

However should this function not activate by itself, or does not enable after clicking the Enable Real-Time Protection button, please follow the steps below:

  • Click on the ⚙️, to go to Settings.


  • Go to the Advanced tab.


  • Under Security, find Enable Real-Time Protection and click on the Toggle to enable the function.


    • If the above does not enable Real-Time Protection, please click here.

    Note: This TotalAV version can only be installed on Windows 7 (Service Pack 1), Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (21H2) and below.

    Set Up Real-Time Protection

    Once you have installed TotalAV you will need to enable Real-Time Protection to safeguard you from potential threats.


  • Click on the Enable Protection button.


  • Once Real-Time Protection is enabled, please ensure you run a first time scan on your computer, by clicking on Run Smart Scan. This is so any threats that are currently situated on your system, can be quarantined swiftly.


    • If the above does not enable Real-Time Protection, please click here.

    If you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, you may need to install a tool called Rosetta 2. This is provided by Apple and helps your Mac run apps that were originally designed for Intel-based Macs.

  • Click Here To Download TotalAV
  • Open the Downloaded File within your browser.

    • Install

  • Double Click the Package Icon to begin the Installation.


  • The Installation Window will pop up, please click Continue.


  • Select the Destination you would like to install TotalAV and click Install.


  • Input your Apple Password.


  • Installation Successful!


    • If you are experiencing issues with either downloading or installing click here.
  • A Window will pop up, as below, please Click on Get Started


  • TotalAV will attempt to login using your current browser session


  • Login Successful!


    • If you are unable to login via the Browser Session Method, a window below will pop up.
  • Enter your Login Details to enabled TotalAV.

    • Set Up Real-Time Protection

    Once you have installed TotalAV you will need to enable Real-Time Protection to safeguard you from real time threats.

  • Click Dashboard
  • Click Enable
  • Click Install
  • Open System Preferences

  • Click Open Security Preferences
  • Click the Lock Icon
  • Enter your Mac's Password
  • Click Unlock
  • Click Allow

    • Go to the TotalAV Application

  • Click Open System Preferences
  • Click TotalAV Real-Time Protection 5 in the System Preferences Screen
  • Click Complete Setup in the TotalAV Application


    • If you are experiencing issues with enabling Real-Time Protection, please Click Here.

    Download

  • Click Here To Download TotalAV
  • Open the Downloaded File within your browser

    • Install

  • Double Click the Package Icon to begin the Installation


  • The Installation Window will pop up, please click Continue


  • Select the Destination you would like to install TotalAV and Click Install


  • Input your Apple Password


  • Installation Successful!


    • If you are experiencing issues with either Downloading or Installing TotalAV Click Here.
  • A Window will pop up, as below, please Click on Get Started


  • TotalAV will attempt to login using your current browser session.


  • Login Successful!


  • If you are unable to login via the Browser Session Method, a window below will pop up.

    • Enter your Login Details to enable TotalAV

    Set up Real-Time Protection

    Once you have installed TotalAV you will need to enable Real-Time Protection to safeguard you from real time threats.

  • Click on the orange Enable Button on the Dashboard view.


  • Click on the green button labeled Open System Preferences.


  • Enabled TotalAV to have Full Disk Access by clicking on the toggle button.


  • Enter your Apple Login and click Modify Settings.


  • Click on Later.


  • Full Disk Access Granted.


  • Click on Install.


  • Click on Open System Settings.


  • Click on the toggle button to enabled TotalAV Real Time Extension.


  • Enter your Apple Login and click Ok.


  • Click on Done.


  • Click on Next.


  • Click on Open System Preferences.


  • Enable the TotalAV Real-Time Extension by clicking the toggle button.


  • Enter your Apple Login details and click Unlock.


  • System Extension Full Disk Access Granted, click on Re-Launch


    • You're Protected!

  • Tap here on your iPhone or iPad
  • Tap Install on the App Store


    • If you are experiencing issues with either Downloading or Installing TotalAV Click Here.

    Login

    Open the TotalAV App

  • Enter your TotalAV Username
  • Enter your TotalAV Password
  • Tap Login

    • NOTE: You are not logged into an account. To login please click here.

    Download

  • Tap here on your Android Device
  • Tap Install on the Play Store


    • If you are experiencing issues with either Downloading or Installing TotalAV Click Here for help!

    Login

  • Open the TotalAV App
  • Tap Login

    • This will attempt to automatically log you in.


    If the application can't automatically log you in, it will ask for your email and password.
